Dancing with the Devils

Here are some short videos I took last Saturday at Seoul City Plaza where the soccer match South Korea VS Greece was shown on several large screens placed on and around the veiled City Hall. Despite the heavy rain a lot of fans had turned up—wearing white raincoats over red T-shirts, they looked more ghostly than devilish—, cheering along as the game was won.

Stay tuned for some thoughts on the theatrical qualities of this mass performance…

Pretty early in the game…

…and near the end.

Afterwards, in front of Doksugung Palace…

…people dancing & singing. (The guy with the yellow card board sign is selling beer.)
